How much does a website cost in Fife pricing breakdown showing three options from web designer codexx.uk

How Much Does a Website Cost in Fife?

April 16, 20264 min read

It's one of the first questions anyone asks. And it's one that most web designers deliberately avoid answering.

Not here. Let's talk about it properly.

Why Nobody Gives You a Straight Answer

Web designers hate giving prices upfront because every project is different. That's true to a point. But mostly it's because they don't want to scare you off before they've had the chance to sell you.

The result is you spend hours chasing quotes, sitting through discovery calls and waiting on proposals just to find out whether you can afford it.

That's not how I work.

So What Does a Website Actually Cost in Fife?

DIY platforms like Wix or Squarespace Free to start, around £10 to £20 a month once you need a proper domain and features. Looks like a DIY website. Fine for a hobby. Not ideal if you're trying to win work locally.

Cheap freelancers or template sites Anywhere from £200 to £800. You get what you pay for. Usually a tweaked template with your logo dropped in, no SEO, no strategy, handed over and never touched again. The phone still doesn't ring.

Mid range professional web designer £800 to £2500 for a properly built site. This is where it starts to make sense. Someone who thinks about how your customers search, builds pages around those searches and makes sure every enquiry is captured properly.

Agencies £3000 and upwards, sometimes well upwards. You're paying for account managers, project managers and a team of people. For most local businesses in Fife that's more than you need.

What Should Be Included in the Price?

This is where a lot of businesses get caught out. A cheap website that needs £500 of add-ons isn't cheap.

Make sure whatever you're quoted includes:

Keyword research so the site is built around what your customers actually search for. Mobile optimisation because more than half your visitors are on their phone. Google Business Profile setup or review because it directly affects local rankings. A contact form that actually works and notifies you immediately. Basic on page SEO so Google can find and understand your site from day one.

If any of those are extras, factor them into the real price.

How Much Do I Charge?

I offer three options depending on where your business is at right now.

Foundations System — From £1,500 A properly built, keyword researched website designed to generate enquiries. Built for search, performance and conversion. Ongoing hosting, maintenance and support from £39 a month.

Essentials System — £197 a month If you already have a solid website and want the CODEXX automation system on top. Missed call text back, review management, automated follow up and a full lead dashboard. No setup fee.

Growth System — £500 setup then £297 a month A fully built, keyword researched, schema structured website connected to the complete automation system. Everything working together from day one. No extra costs.

Is a Website Worth It for a Fife Business?

Yes. If it's built properly.

A website that brings in two or three extra jobs a month pays for itself quickly. The question isn't really how much does a website cost. It's how much is it costing you not to have one that works.
